This course invites students on a reflective and transformative journey through the stages every believer will inevitably encounter on the path to Allah and the Hereafter. Framed as a journey between the mu’min and Jannah, the course explores the realities that begin at the moment the soul departs the body and continue through the unseen realms leading to eternal destiny. Through Quranic verses, Prophetic traditions, and classical Islamic scholarship, students will deepen their understanding of death not as an end but as the beginning of the journey to our final destination and true abode—Jannah, inshaAllah.
The course will trace the seven major stages of a believer’s journey to the Hereafter, beginning with the departure of the soul from the body and continuing through the unseen realities that every human being will face after death. Students will study the transition into barzakh, the experience of life in the grave, and the events surrounding resurrection and gathering (الحشر), while reflecting on the spiritual meanings and lessons embedded within each stage.
The course will also explore the standing before Allah in the Divine Court, the weighing of deeds on the Scale (الميزان), and the crossing of the Sirat bridge—the final passage before reaching one’s eternal destination. Through this journey, students will examine how faith, actions, sincerity, repentance, and reliance upon Allah shape the believer’s experience in the Hereafter. Students will be encouraged to connect knowledge of the akhirah to their everyday lives, cultivating greater mindfulness, preparation, hope, and longing for Jannah.
Students should be women above the age of 17.
