This reflective art-based workshop invites Muslim women to explore the concept of sabr, patience, perseverance, and spiritual grounding, through a creative and faith-centered lens. Participants will engage in hands-on art-experiential, guided reflection, and thoughtful group dialogue to better understand the many dimensions of sabr as taught in the Qur’an and prophetic tradition.
Through this experience, students will learn about the difference between active and passive sabr, discover how visual expression can support spiritual reflection, and gain insight into how patience can be both a source of strength and surrender. Topics include Islamic teachings on sabr, emotional awareness, and the healing role of creative expression. No art experience is required, only a willingness to explore, reflect, and connect. By the end of the course, participants will leave with a personalized art piece, deeper self-awareness, and renewed spiritual perspective.
