Course Description:

The Forty Hadith of Palestine is a collection of Hadith about Palestine, Sham, the people, events in the past, and future events that will occur in the area. In this class students will become familiar with the Arabic of the hadith and will gain an appreciation and understanding of the Islamic worldview toward Palestine. We will cover topics like the Day of Judgment, the Dajjal, Isra and Maraj, story in hadith, place blessings, and more. Students will be able to deepen their du’a and soothe their hearts regarding the people and land of Palestine. By the end of this short course, students will have an appreciation for the importance of this land in the Islamic tradition.

Course Materials:

Textbook: 40 Hadith of Palestine (will be made available as PDF on course forum)

Recommended: Al-Arba’in: The Virtues of Sham and its People by Sheikh al-Hadith Mufti Shabbir Ahmed Sahib

Requirements:
  • Students should be women above the age of 17.
