Tajwid
The Ribaat Tajwid Program enables students to become proficient in recitation of the Holy Quran, with complete understanding and application of the rules of tajwid.
The program takes students from the beginner level to fluency in recitation, and from there onto a journey of memorization of chosen chapters. The end goal is to produce students who are able to read and teach the Holy Quran with proficiency and expertise.

Tajwid courses include two parts
Theory is taught once a week in a group online session, to study the recitation of the Holy Quran, points of articulation, and rules of tajwid.
Students are also paired with an online tajwid teacher, who they meet for additional sessions and work with—either one-on-one or in small groups—to recite and apply the rules of tajwid.

Meet Ribaat Students
Placement Test
New students in the Ribaat Tajwid Program should complete a Tajwid and an Arabic assessment to receive a recommendation on the best course to start with. Some requirements may be waived upon submitting a placement test.
Certifications
The Ribaat Tajwid Ijaza program offers two certifications in Quran recitation, both of which are through a connected sanad directly from the Prophet ﷺ in the Hafs ‘an ‘Asim recitation.

How to get started
STEP 1:
Submit an Tajwid Assessment and Arabice Placement Test.
STEP 2:
Register in the level you are advised. See Enrollment > Academic Calendar for registration dates.
All students starting in the Tajwid Program must complete an online Placement Test for both Arabic and Tajwid to ensure they are starting at the right level.
