Description:

This comprehensive workshop will prepare participants to perform a spiritually sound and transformative Hajj. The themes of Hajj- sacrifice, resilience and trust-will be interwoven into the sessions.

Workshop sessions will address a variety of aspects of Hajj, including:

  • significance of Hajj as the fifth pillar of our faith
  • spiritual dimensions of the rites and rituals of Hajj
  • fiqh of Hajj
  • Hajj registration
  • travel tips
  • health during Hajj
  • applying the lessons of Hajj for personal and professional development

By the end of the workshop, participants will be prepared to approach their pilgrimage with confidence, an understanding of its rites and rituals, and spiritual awareness of the sacredness of this pillar.

Learning Objectives:

  • Engage in hajj as a spiritual experience with a solid understanding of the significance of each ritual and as a fulfillment of the fifth pillar of Islam.
  • Apply the fiqh rulings of Hajj including the legal and practical requirements of the pilgrimage in order to perform them correctly.
  • Navigate Hajj registration and implement smart travel strategies while on Hajj.
  • Develop a health plan to train for Hajj and stay healthy during Hajj.
  • Implement the lessons learned from Hajj to their personal and professional lives.

Requirements:

Students should be women above the age of 17.

This workshop does not count for credit towards any Ribaat courses.

This is an online class so students will need:

  • Access to internet with an internet speed of at least 2 Mbps recommended for best performance.
  • A computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
