This course studies the narrators, meanings, and practical applications of the hadith found in the famous collection of Hadith by Imam al Nawawi. Throughout this four part class, we will study the four volume commentary (one book per class) of Riyadh al Saliheen entitled; “Foh al Rayaheen ” by one of the foremost hadith scholars of the twenty first century – Sheikha Samar al Asha. This four volume work includes commentary on each hadith. Students will read the book in Arabic and discuss the content in class in English. Part 1 will study volume one.
Daylight savings time will begin in the United States on Sunday, November 3, 2024. Depending on where you live, this may or may not affect your class timing. In countries where DST is not applied at all, class will be one hour earlier starting November 3.
Live attendance is recommended whenever possible for the best learning experience. Recordings of the sessions will be made available for registered students who cannot attend live. Students will have access to course forums, recordings, and files until January 10, 2025.
