Life’s changes bring new spiritual opportunities. In this short course, learn how you can maximize on your middle age years. What should you expect? How can you manage the physical, emotional, and spiritual changes? What does Islam offer us to help navigate these shifts?

In this four-session short course, clinical psychologists Dr. Hena Syed Sabir and Dr. Elizabeth Eman Penny will walk students through the expected physical and emotional changes, as well as the common circumstantial realities women face during their middle age years. We will discuss community networks, support systems, perimenopause and menopause, mental and cognitive changes, spiritual opportunities, developing a balanced practice to strengthen yourself from each angle, and more.

Requirements:

  • Students should be women above the age of 17.
  • Access to internet with an internet speed of at least 2 Mbps recommended for best performance.
  • Headphones, camera and microphone may be required for in-class participation.
  • To access the live class and recordings, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
