The Crowning Venture: Quran Memorization

Course Description:

The Crowning Venture is a self-paced Quran memorization course designed to help students achieve their personal memorization goals with expert guidance. Each term, students set their own Quran memorization targets and recite to a certified tajwid teacher.

The course includes weekly online sessions for progress tracking, inspiration, and practical tips on effective Quran memorization and overcoming common challenges. Students work one-on-one with a tajwid instructor to ensure accurate recitation and application of tajwid rules.

Optional biweekly meetings provide additional support, practice, and encouragement, making this course ideal for anyone committed to mastering Quran memorization at their own pace.

Course Prerequisites:

▪ Successful completion of Arabic Novice High, ARL 131*
▪ Successful completion of TAJ 201 and 202 OR TAJ 203
▪ Successful completion of TAJ 301*

Tajwid Placement: 

New students in the Ribaat Tajwīd Program are required to complete an assessment. Based on that, they will receive a recommendation on the best course to start with. Please click here to enroll:

Course Requirements: 

To be successful in this course, students need to attend the live class or watch the recordings, attend practice sessions live, and complete the coursework as defined in the course syllabus. This may include: a weekly reading log, a midterm, and/or a final exam.

Please note that daylight saving time will begin in the United States on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Depending on where you live, this may or may not affect your class timing. In countries where DST is not applied at all, class will be one hour earlier starting March 8.

This is an online course so students will need:

• Access to internet with an internet speed of at least 2 Mbps recommended for best performance.
• Headphones, camera and microphone may be required for in-class participation.
• To access the live class and recordings, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
