Course Description:

Arabic Novice High is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of forming sentences in Arabic, including both verbal and nominal sentence structures. Learners will practice conjugating simple Arabic verbs and gain the skills to read and understand basic texts featuring familiar vocabulary.

By the end of this module, students will be able to construct their own simple nominal sentences about themselves, their families, and their homes. The course also focuses on expanding high-frequency vocabulary, both general and Quranic, enabling students to identify and translate words and phrases in a variety of authentic Arabic texts.

Course Prerequisites:

  • Students should be women above the age of 17.
  • Arabic Novice Middle or equivalent knowledge.
Placement:

Course Requirements:

Students are expected to attend 2 online classes each week, complete weekly assignments, submit a personal project and a final exam.

Live attendance is recommended whenever possible for the best learning experience. Recordings of the sessions will be made available for registered students who cannot attend live. Students will have access to course forums, recordings, and files until May 31st, 2026.

  • To access the live class and recordings, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
