Arabic Intermediate Beginner 2

Course Description:

Arabic Intermediate Beginner 2 builds on previous knowledge by teaching students how to negate nominal sentences and use them in the past tense. The course covers expressing possession in Arabic and introduces dual and plural noun forms.

Students will expand their vocabulary to discuss careers, food and drink, and the human body, enhancing their ability to engage in a wider range of conversations and understand more complex Arabic texts.

Module Content:

• Using كان  and ليس  to modify nominal sentences
• Expressing possession (إضافة )
• Duals and Plurals
• Reversed predicated
• Food and drink
• Discussing careers
• The human body

Course Prerequisites:

• Students should be women above the age of 17.
• Arabic Intermediate Beginner 1 or equivalent knowledge.

Course Requirements:

Students are expected to attend 2 online classes each week, complete weekly assignments, submit a personal project and a final exam.

Live attendance is recommended whenever possible for the best learning experience. Recordings of the sessions will be made available for registered students who cannot attend live. Students will have access to course forums, recordings, and files until May 31st, 2026.

Arabic Program Policies

This is an online course so students will need:

• Access to internet with an internet speed of at least 2 Mbps recommended for best performance.
• Headphones, camera and microphone may be required for in-class participation.
• To access the live class and recordings, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
