Arabic Intermediate Beginner 1

Course Description:

Arabic Intermediate Beginner 1 is the first module in the Intermediate Beginner band, focusing on constructing Arabic verbal sentences in the past, present, and future tenses. Students will learn to form positive and negative sentences, ask questions in Arabic, and tell the time.

The course covers essential vocabulary related to daily routines and schedules, helping learners communicate effectively about their everyday lives in Arabic.

Course Content:

• Constructing verbal sentences 
• Asking Questions 
• Negating the past and present 
• Attached pronouns 
• Constructing the future tense 
• Telling the time 
• Describing your weekly/ daily routine

Course Prerequisites:

• Students should be women above the age of 17.
• Arabic Novice High or equivalent knowledge.

Placement:

If this is your first Arabic course at Ribaat, you are required to submit a placement test. Click here for the Arabic Placement test.

Course Requirements:

Students are expected to attend 2 online classes each week, complete weekly assignments, submit a personal project and a final exam.

Live attendance is recommended whenever possible for the best learning experience. Recordings of the sessions will be made available for registered students who cannot attend live. Students will have access to course forums, recordings, and files until May 31st, 2026.

Arabic Program Policies

This is an online course so students will need:

• Access to internet with an internet speed of at least 2 Mbps recommended for best performance.
• Headphones, camera and microphone may be required for in-class participation.
• To access the live class and recordings, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
