Hadith Certifications
The hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ are characterized by jawāmiʿ al-kalim (جوامع الكلم)—the miraculous ability to convey profound wisdom in concise statements. Imam al-Nawawi’s collection showcases this eloquence, pairing simplicity with timeless lessons that remain relevant to every generation.

By the end of this course, students will have the skills to translate, understand, and extract practical life lessons from Imam al-Nawawi’s forty hadiths, along with earning the honor of an ijaza (certification) in this renowned compilation. This ijaza connects students to the rich legacy of Islamic knowledge through a continuous chain of transmission, fostering a profound connection to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his timeless teachings.
The 40 Hadith of Imam al-Nawawi course is divided into two parts, with Part 1 offered during the Fall semester and Part 2 offered in the Spring semester. Students are welcome to enroll in either part independently, as completing Part 1 is not a prerequisite for registering for Part 2. However, in order to qualify for the ijaza, both courses need to be completed with passing grades.
The Forty Hadith of Palestine is a collection of Hadith about Palestine, Sham, its people, and past and future events related to the area. In this class, students will become familiar with the Arabic of the hadith and will gain an appreciation and understanding of the Islamic perspective on Palestine.
We cover topics such as the Day of Judgment, the Dajjal, Isra and Mi’raj, story in hadith, blessings of the land, and more. Students will be able to deepen their dua and soothe their hearts regarding the people and land of Palestine.
