Louma Sebaihi, a Family Nurse Practitioner based in Florida, spent many years in Damascus studying traditional Islam, during which time she earned ijāzas in Tajwīd and the 40 Hadith of Imam an-Nawawi. Over the years, she spent time pursuing her passion for teaching by leading TESOL classes at the American school in Damascus, and at public and Islamic Schools in the United States.

Louma’s longing to preserve Quran, Arabic, and the love of the Prophet ﷺ amongst her 4 children and the new generation has spurred many of her passion projects. While living in Oklahoma, she started a Sunday Islamic school for the local community, and after moving to Florida, she started Little Medina Academy. She has also worked with the Rabata Tajwīd and RabaTEENS programs, sharing her love for the Quran with women and teen girls. She hopes to continue contributing to Rabata and her community. In her spare time she enjoys painting, poetry, and being in nature.
