Dr. Jumana ElSamna serves as an Islamic Studies Instructor at the Ribaat Academic Institute. She earned her PhD in Hadith and Sunna from the Islamic University of Gaza, where her dissertation focused on the concept of moderation in the chapter headings of Sahih Al-Bukhari related to women’s issues. Dr. ElSamna also holds a Master’s degree in Hadith Sciences from the same university, with a specialised focus on studying the narrations of two narrators mentioned in Al-‘Ilal by Al-Daraqutni. She has two bachelor’s degrees: one in Usool al-Dīn in Arabic and another in Contemporary Da’wah in English. Additionally, she memorized the Qur’an at a young age and holds a certification in recitation in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim.
Dr. ElSamna has taught as a lecturer at the Islamic University of Gaza and, in recent years, has dedicated her time to teaching Islamic Studies to English-speaking students on various platforms. She also published several research papers in peer-reviewed academic journals, covering diverse topics such as prophetic references to violent events that have occurred in modern times and Imam Bukhari’s moderation in addressing women’s issues in the book of AlJihad in Sahih Al-Bukhari.
She also contributed to developing an Islamic curriculum for a private school in Gaza, designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of Islam and equip them to face contemporary challenges.
Dr. ElSamna is a mother of one child. Her hobbies include reading, walking, and enjoying coffee.
