Course Description:

This is the first module of the Intermediate Middle band. In this level, students will expand their knowledge of verbs through an introduction to hollow roots and the 10 verb forms. This will equip them with the skills to use a root dictionary. They will also learn how to construct and describe opposites, and building on their knowledge of vocabulary related to the human body, they will learn how to discuss issues around health and wellness using vocabulary found in classical/ liturgical as well as more modern texts.

Module Content:

  • Hollow verbs
  • Usingكان  and her sisters
  • Comparing and contrasting using the أفعل  form
  • Introduction to Verb Forms

Course Prerequisites:

  • Students should be women above the age of 17.
  • Arabic Intermediate Beginner 3 or equivalent knowledge.
Placement:

Course Requirements:

Students are expected to attend 2 online classes each week, complete weekly assignments, submit a personal project and a final exam.

Live attendance is recommended whenever possible for the best learning experience. Recordings of the sessions will be made available for registered students who cannot attend live. Students will have access to course forums, recordings, and files until May 31st ,2025

Please note that daylight savings time will begin in the United States on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Depending on where you live, this may or may not affect your class timing. In countries where DST is not applied at all, class will be one hour earlier starting March 9.

  • To access the live class and recordings, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
